I'd have to say this is correct for almost any field. Some people are in for the bucks, some make a career out of their "job" and never really view work as work. That said, porn is prolly a bit different than "most fields", ....seeing how ones public image could be permanently "smaeared", I'd have to say many people who have done some work in this biz prolly regret it or at least don't talk about very much outside their close circle of friends.
