Yes, she writes her own stuff too. Most comics have additional writers especially if they make a lot of appearances on TV... they constantly need fresh stuff.

Additionally Kathy is very proficient at improvising her standup routines. She often just writes down a topic and then she will ad lib for 10 minutes on the topic.
