Vacation?

Lee and I have been talking about getting some time away. I was joking with him but realized for a lot of years I would consider the time I went to shows as time off. Even though I worked harder on a show room floor than I did in the office - I still convinced myself that I was on vacation some how LMAO

For me working for myself definitely plays a huge part in getting away. And come to think of it, even when I worked for other companies it wasn't something I did often.

We actually went to the Bahamas for a long weekend once, and it was a total wash out. It rained, the hotel pool was closed, and we were on a beach (we LIVE 400 ft from the beach and it is nicer here).

Ok back to my point LOL

Where was it you last vacationed? And when?

oh crap....i have the same problem in that the only time i ever get to go anywhere is when i go to a show so i force myself to consider that "vacation"

the last actual vacation i can remember is, ironically enough, south beach! but that was in ... hmmm, 2000. yeah, i think that's right. a long ass time ago anyway. for the last 3 summers i was always working my ass off with my putrid x for a business that did nothing but ruin me financially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. i'm fuckin out now! this is going to be one hella cool summer i can promise you that!

p.s. jasun....see, i can be bitter too.

Well, if I don't count the "vacation" time I took to go up to Illinois for Che and my Union ...

Pelee Island, Canada for 2 weeks -- and I'll be damned if I remember what year, but it's been over 8 years ago. No wonder I'm craving wanting to "get away" for awhile!

South Beach.. about three months ago. I spent the entire time under a bottle of Scotch. I bought a lot of clothes. I bought a hat. I went to a couple of really lame gay clubs. I think that's where I got that Jock Strap that's a bit too small. Had a great time, so they tell me. That's me at the News Cafe in my avatar.

I plan on being sober and remembering a bit of the next vacation.

I'm on a working vacation now actually. Well kind of, haven't seen my family in a LONG LONG time (10 years) so came to see them for a while.

This year I'm taking a real vacation to Zurich and Germany in August for my birthday. :groovy:

What if we could all decide on a vacation spot and a group of us all paid our individual hotel and airfare and spending $ to go away for a week / weekend?

Could be fun if done in the right surroundings

Nothing business related just a group vacation type thing?

Lee, you and Gary should come to Zurich with my BF and I! We're leaving august 8th. Their is a huge festival on the 10th.

I have friends there to show us all arround. I will tell you more in PM if you want to go. (I'll tell you more there.)
