I found it easier to add each folder (as my mp3's were arranged in a network of folders) and fix each tag as I went along. It's easier that way because you can rename whole groups by selecting all and hitting "get info". For instance, I had a huge Cyndi Lauper folder (oh, I just love her) so I would upload the whole folder, then rename the "artist" as Cyndi Lauper all at once. It's a lot of work, but it's well worth it.

The funny thing is that I love remixes and live versions of songs, even demos and bootlegs, so people will look at my songs and complain that I have too many duplicates. Yes, I do not always make notes of different versions, I know I need to but that's a whole other project.

Don, I, too, am religious about tagging my songs. And yeah, I even do the (live version) and (remix) notes so that I know what is what. I'm also totally anal about not putting any mp3 onto my iPod without the album art attached to the file, so I spend a LOT of time Googling album covers so that I can drag them onto my iTunes. I just love the little pics that come up when a song plays. I'm silly that way.

But now that I've been doing this for a while, I've totally gotten the hang of it and gotten it down to a science. I can burn CDs and add artwork and have them on my iPod in all of 5 mins now. I'm that good.
