oh, yeah, once in a while isn't a bad thing. It's when you do it every day that it becomes a problem.

I ate 6 times at McDonalds... I would have rather die than ever step into that type of restaurant... If I prefer "fast food" I just go to SubWay... but 90% of the time I do my own shopping and cook for myself and partner...

Italian pastas, risottos, lots of vegetable and mostly chicken meat... it keeps me so freakin fit that I went into a gym only to see other cuties...

For as long as I'm concerned, McDonalds should be banned or restricted only to people with low IQ and those that want to commit long-term suicide...

They can put whole bunch of playgirl models to serve me behind the counter and I'd still never put my foot in it... anyway... I haven't seen Super Size Me, and I probably never will... but I guess I don't have to see it to know that old McDaddy is serving bull...

I just wish more people, especially younger were aware of how damaging eating in McDoodle is.

Nice try - I am stoned, not stunned and stupid!

Society is finally realizing just how crappy their product is, so they now offer one the chance to purge ... in a better looking toilet? Oh hell'z no!

How about yah take that extra step and change the entire menu ... and name ... and association!

This is exactly what I was going on about with music: same shit but now they are trying to feed it to people in a different package! Sad part is many will still lock the dial on that station.

I for one will be glad to see them declare bankruptcy!

Despite all the skepticism, so long as they effectively manage the transition and the marketing of it, it could very well be successful. I think the American people are more than willing to be convinced they want to not only go to McDonalds, but also stay and hang out there.

Shit... how many young people across this country hang out at Wal Mart and 7-Eleven (I mean actually HANG OUT at them... not just shop)? Now they can do that at McDonalds. And grow up with fond memories of having done so. And be an entire generation of loving McDonalds fans, ready to pass that sentiment along to their kids.

Starbucks coffee is jampacked fulla calories, their baked goods overflowing with preservatives and god knows what else to enable them to survive the lengthy trip from wherever it is they're created to locations all across the nation. And people can't get enough of the stuff.

If the American people could be convinced Iraq has WMDs, ties to Al Qaeda, and the need for a US invasion and 5 years later not be revolting or demanding the impeachment of the president, they can be convinced Mickey Dees is hip, happenin, healthy and tasty.

And hey... if the new, hotspot McDonalds actually is a wifi hotspot... I might chill out in one myself and drink my Hi-C and nibble on french fries while reviewing model applications

ANYTHING is possible. I look for the new and improved McD's to be quite popular in the bigger cities especially, where people are more used to a more "sophisticated" way of life. Sure, sprucing something up won't change the fact that their food is AWFUL for you, but I bet people will be a little more apt to check them out once in a blue moon if they don't feel as "common" going there.

Yup, I think they'll be pretty successful with it. I hadn't even thought of the urban factor, Ken, but it's an interesting point. I'd more had in mind the rural and small town factor where options on cheap, easy, accessible places to hang out could be slim. But as you pointed out, there are countless ways in which it could work for them, and countless places in which it could work for them.

And as much as people say "But their food is so unhealthy!!!!" and how that seems to be the standard piece of knowledge regarding McDonalds - everyone knows it and it's just a given fact - that sure doesn't seem to be hurting them.

They just can't seem to stop making money - even in Europe, where people are assumed to be more health conscious and less fast-food friendly than the US.

So despite everyone knowing their food isn't healthy, their making record profits and seeing significant growth - and have been for years and years.

    It's called the nicotine complex.

Actually, after seeing how well McDonalds and tobacco companies are doing we're going to start having our models smoke a Marlboro and much on McNuggets during every video. Not to mention tie in our join price to OPEC quotas and refinery capacity.

Just for the record... I serisously am eating a Double Quarter Punder with cheese meal right now... LOL

Anyway, I don't really have an opinion either way on this one. I love McDonald's and will continue to eat there regardless. (I have NOT watched Supersize Me for a reason... I really don't want to know) I love my burger, fries and a coke.

About the facelift... it doesnt really bother me any... personally I think that the bright colors hurt my hangover when I want a McGriddle after a long night... so I guess its all good. It is really shitty though that they aren't paying for it. They should at least help out with the costs. The franchise owners can't be expected to pay for ALL the renovations, expecially withing a year. NOT KOOL!

I simply ask that they keep the drivethrough. I'm always busy busy busy and the drivethrough is my bestfriend. Even starbucks has a drivethrough and I LOVE them for that. SO they are simply trading concepts. Maybe one day the fast food and coffee giants will merge and run the world... HAHAH JK.

Anyway.... my little rant is done and I'm going to finish my burger

    Love, Sky

Sky, I'm letting you know now that if anyone bitches about your above post it's only because we are bitter old queens who wish we could abuse our bodies like that nowadays and not have to pay for it. So don't take it personally. Having said that, when you hit your 30's, it will catch up with you. I wish someone would have shown me a picture of me in my 30's when I was in my early 20's. I would have laid the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle back then. But hey, it's never too late to start.

Yeah I think all the fast food I ate when I was 18 hid somewhere inside my body and turned in to a fat belly overnight sometime around 24. .

I recently saw a picture of me back in my modeling days and I wanted to kill that person. I used to have a god damn good body and I had never worked out or set foot in a gym. But on the other hand, the Rocky from those days was naive and emotionally unstable. So he is now "Prototype Rocky."

I still want to kill him.

What is with all of you snobs?

I don't believe for a single second that none of you eat fast food! I smoke, drink and eat fast food and I'm not afraid to admit it. Sure, I'll be dead in a few years. Lol. But I won't be hanging out at McDonald's... I much prefer the drive-thru and eating (usually the wrong order) at home.

I don't have the best eating habits. If I did, I wouldn't be as big as I am. But I'm working on it. And the thing that makes it hard is that the food that is bad for you is everywhere, quick and easy, and cheap. If I don't have time to cook a meal for myself, I have the choice of trying to find parking near a Whole Foods or one of those organic healthy convenience stores that never have parking lots and charge double for everything. Or I can drive through McDonalds or pop in at a 7-11. It just pisses me off that trying to do things to keep yourself healthy are always an uphill climb but it's so easy to eat what's bad for you. And at 37, I'm tired of getting winded walking up a flight of stairs, tired of being sleepy and fatigued by 11 at night, of not being able to go out late like I used to and not liking what I see in the mirror. So I'm doing something about it. So if I seem like a snob because I'm pissed at McDonalds for perpetuating an unhealthy lifestyle and making it so easy then so be it. I spent a lot of time in the 90's eating stuff that was packaged to say it was healthy and low fat and all that stuff, only to find years later that it did no good and I'm pissed that companies would lie about that stuff, and McDonald's is not different. Eat fresh, eat healthy, hang out at McDonalds. It's a lie. And that pisses me off.
