Thats pretty much all it is.

It isnt true HD because the capabilities of running true HD content online, unless you are a surfer that owns a massive mediaserver with a huge bandwidth pipe.

HD is all marketing right now when it comes to online sites, the one good thing about getting 'HD' content shot though is that you can quite easily encode it in multiple formats AND use it for DVDs at the same time

I think that information is out of date. 83% of users to our website justusboys.com are DSL/Cable or higher. I'm sure if we could isolate urban specifically it would be even higher.

Hmmm. I thought that I could see HD on my monitor. I don't have any special player installed other than quicktime, but the video I see marked with the HD icon here: http://www.apple.com/trailers/ and here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/ looks as good as the 1080i on my HDTV plasma on the wall.

If they aren't HDTV then it's not visible to the naked eye.

Am I getting bluffed by Apple?

Im not sure who they are so tbh i cant know whether to put any weight on them as a source. Im guessing that movie sites would appeal more to high speed users anyway so that could account for some of your figures too.

Taken from the Apple site..

The advanced H.264 codec makes it possible for QuickTime 7 to play back high-definition video on a personal computer without additional hardware required. However, you’ll still need a G5 or equivalent Windows system to display so much media.

If you have a G5 system and the .256 codec then you'll be able to view HD quality, if you dont have those, you are (in effect) just viewing a regular high-quality movie.

well, check it out - if you are watching an HD video and you enlarge it to full screen, it will be better quality due to the bitrate although shorter due to the widescreen.

if i can't see them exactly as they should be seen, the HD videos i saw on the mayors money sites are better than anything i've ever seen on the web or possibly on my computer - the member area ultra high HD vids stream at 8000k and look perfect at full screen - so i'm happy to see HD coming to the gay market!

Wow! The new stuff looks killer Robert! Great job! We'll be putting these on our exits for sure!
