well, you're totally right, and that's actually one of the things that I constantly wrestle with.
It really sucks when I talk to some model who sounds like a really sweet, nice kid with personality and intelligence and really wants to do porn... but isn't a fit for us and, too often, is probably not a good fit for much of any site because of his appearance.
I don't think there's any real solution to it except maybe to remind people that porn is fantasy and real relationships involve more than good looks and a big dick.
Anyone ever see the 10 minute long "disclaimer" that Leisure Time puts on all their crappy compilation DVDs? It's some woman with terrible hair sitting at what looks like a reception desk reading a clinical description of STDs, masturbation techniques, safer sex, and talking about relationship issues. I have no idea why it's there unless they were using it as a Miller test protection, but it's always amusing to watch.
