FHG format question

We are trying a new format for FHG's for our holiday galleries, evident in our christmas and new years galleries for our affiliates, by combining traditional thumb galleries with a video clip....

so essentially a mix of Hosted photo and hosted video gallery.

now the questions...do you think it matters to affiliates if we blend the two together like this?

Would it be a tool they would be more or less likely to use if the gallery is blended like this?

I have considered this before, yet never put it into practice.
My honest opinion is give it a shot! You have nothing to loose by doing this and it might give you a lot to gain!

People use that now when submitting galleries, they have 4 clickable movies and 6 image thumbs.

I get a lot of those submitted to CumSoda so they must work

Interesting Lee. As TGP's are typically very very touchy about the way webmasters submit galleries, I wonder how they respond to a mixed gallery in general? You might be more accepting than others with yours but we have been blacklisted from a TGP before because we were submitting to the wrong category even though we felt that we should be listed in that category. (we submitted an asian guy to a twink category (the asian guy was 19 years old and we have the docs on it) but the tgp said he was too old to be a twink...and there was no ethnic or asian category....so we were not only confused, we were blacklisted for doing what we thought was right)...

anyway, point being, if you submit a blended gallery to a tgp that does thumbs with MGP characteristics, or the reverse, wonder what the fallout will be from TGP's... I can't say that I've seen many TGP's with a blended format before..

and don't tell us to try it out to see what happens... gonna get our submissions black listed just for trying something new.

For an FHG on one's own site, I cannot see any problem with mixed movie/pic gallieries at all. I have quite a few of these on one of my sites. TGP/MGP owners are picky picky with the submissions from other webmasters ... they seem much more flexible with what they post themselves.
