I would use a variety of guys. You would be surprised who you think might be ugly another guy might think is incredibly hot. It is kindof like Taz on Broke Straight Boys I am not really attacted to him but he is our #1 rated model. There is something about him though that draws in people that aren't usually attracted to that type of guy that have told me there is something about him that is hot but they can't quite place what it is.

As for military content I think it is good converting content especially because it makes the guy look more straight. I'm not exactly sure where you get content like that but I would try http://www.maxpixels.com, http://www.citiboyzcontent.com.
