Of course, that depends on what part of the hair they get, which they'd have no way of knowing... if it's from the very ends, it could be 2+ years old and probably would test clean... but interesting idea.
I don't think her actual hair was very long, I think I heard the lady from the salon saying that it was actually only like 4 inches long, the rest was extensions. But who knows, I don't know how they are going to keep that auction on track with real bids, as it was at 1 million earlier, and now it is at 100 million, and I don't think ANYONE, including People or US Weekly would shell out that much money for her hair.
First you would have to verify that it is really her hair. DNA testing on hair without a root is impossible. You would also have to have some other verifiable DNA from Britney to compare it against. And if people were really interested in drug testing the hair of stars, wouldn't we have a rash of salons and stylists selling hair... or even people running up to stars and ripping out chunks of hair?
99.99% of the people who think they are buying her hair will be ripped off and the other .01% will have a useless wad of over-processed hairball.

I was looking at the bid history and practically all the bids were 10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000, 10,000,000... obviously it's just various people trying to fuck up the auction to prevent the person selling from being successful.
THe other funny thing was some chick in Glassboro, NJ claiming to have the actual hair and claiming that "her family owns the salon" and "she is personal friends with the tattoo artist". Now isn't that just a little *too* coincidental?
Always amazes me (a) what people are stupid enough to claim and (b) that people are stupid enough to believe the claims.

The only thing that's really fucked up about the whole thing is that she had to have kids before she decided to go off the deep end... Do you really think she went off of the deep end? I mean, after all, all it really is is Hair... it will grow back in less than 6 months to a length to put her extensions back in.
What should be more alarming is 2 tattoos, after all that is permenant. Also, should be noted, that there are tons of celebrity kids being raised by nannies! This isn't a new practice that Britney Spears just decided to do one day, its done all over Hollywood. For that matter, is her partying really out of control to where she doesn't care for her kids at all? I doubt that, the media has a way of twisting stories and pictures to suit the news that they have built up.
For instance, I saw a picture this morning of Britney in a wig, and it said she was late night partying all night. So, the only pictures out there are of Britney in the back of a car. If she was partying all night, and drinking and chain smoking as they say, its odd that they cannot provide even one picture of her doing either of those, or even one of her outside of a car.
No yeah, I don't mean the partying, I really have no idea how much she does that.
I said "off the deep end" referring to the whole "flash the gash" cry for attention thing, and the whole ""shunning the celebrity spotlight"" so she could ""settle down"", marry trailer trash like herself and start a family at 22 years old....
Her "publicity stunts" seem to mock herself, 'publicity' in general, and all of us for caring so much, all at the same time. And if she's actually aware of this, she's a genius. If she's not, then she's a nutter. I'd prefer to think the former is true, in which case she's bad ass who no longer gives a fuck and I say more power to her :cheerleader: But i think i'm being optimistic.
p.s.? just because tons of celebrities have other people raise their kids, doesn't really make it ok, IMO...

yeah, she tied up traffic on Sunset while the pooperazzi were buzzing around Le Mondrian trying to get a shot - and then later at the tattoo parlor - at least they weren't buzzing hellicoptors overhead (that' later, this coming weekend for the awards...)
and then, she tied up traffic on network television and now, creates traffic on this board - it will grow back with a little fertilizer at least... mine won't!
