As for bras, they are a pain and can change in size depending on the manufac. and the style. After all, a simple padded bra may be totally different than a Push up bra. I like a nice thin padded one myself, just incase a cool breeze decides people need to notice them more.

Another thing that deals with a bra is the woman's health. Women swell or "bloat" when they are close to their period most of the time so they may actually get a little bigger. Also any hormone changes such as menopause may have an effect on the need for bras.

And I have to ask Lee, what brought on this question? All I can think of is you saw a guy with serious Man Boobs and thought to get him a bra.

I never needed to know any of this stuff until I got pregnant. Then I went from wearing training bras to a 38DD.

So, a few years, post child, I decided that perhaps gravity were finally getting the better of me - and at the age of 44 decided to buy my first non maternity bra.

Lee - if you were just a little embarrassed asking the question, imagine being female, going into a store at the age of 44 - and admitting you have absolutely NO idea what size you are, nor how one of them is supposed to fit you, nor, actually, can you recall exactly how to put one of them on.

Now - imagine trying to do it in a foriegn language. :crybaby:

Funny story, a friend of mine thought that drag would be fun for Halloween, and wanted a bra. I, a good and dutiful friend, hauled him off to the discountest of discounted department stores, Honest Eds, and led him to the bra department.

He was taking things very seriously and started trying them on in the middle of the store, at which point I made myself scarce. I don't think that "D" and "DD" are particularly large anymore - I used to, then it turned out that I was a part of that group and I thought "well, I'm not that big!" Hmmmm, it's a mistery to us as well.

Here goes, for those who don't know....

The number does stand for the distance around the chest. There are two schools of thought on that. If you go and have a bra fitted at the local Victoria's Secret, however, they will measure you all of the way around, from nipple to nipple (you are in your bra of course) to get that number. It's pretty much a personal choice and a comfort issue.

The letter size indicates the cup size, meaning how much boob you have. The sizes range from AA to H and over, depending on the boob size. There are tons of porn stars that have Fs and Hs, and I think anything over DDs have a hard time buying bras locally and have to go to specialty stores or buy online!
