Has any one done a survey or study on colors?

In straight porn you get these conventions, like using pink for teen, deep reds/purples for MILF's and mature, black for BDSM and fetish. Not sure about gay porn, really. I just design according to the mood I'm at when I Do the design :fool:

I think that if anyone was to come up with anything definitive and significant, we would have heard about it by now. Doesn't really matter, probably.

Wasn't that a song the witch sang on the old H.R. Puff n' Stuff TV show? She was trying to fool that kid with bong flute into believing she and her cohorts were a rock band. And, disguised as a band, they sang that song on stage.

This thread was has been very interesting to me. I have tended towards blue since it seems a calm masculine color. A graphic artist I work with suggested with a new site in development using a color that I would describe as "salmon/pumpkin".

With so many sites out there now, and even though a color like salmon/pumpkin may bother my eyes personally, sometimes one has to listen to those with artistic talents in the Gay community. I may be a Gay Man, but I seem to not have gotten the interior decorator gene that many have.

It really does not really matter what color palete you use I suppose, it only augmenting your text and imagery. Using non-standard color combinations like LavenderLounge makes your site memorable - assuming you are wanting bookmarkers.

I have yet to see a teenage gang that dresses in black attire. Not unless you count skinheads.
