talk to your doctor about cromolyn sodium. for some reason, most doctors prefer to give stuff they are already using, but cromolyn is the only allergy medication that the u.s. fda considers almost side effect free. you can buy it otc as nasalcrom if you have nasal allergies but the lung stuff needs a perscription.

cromolyn changed my life - i read about it all over the web, and couldn't find one doctor who was interested in giving it to me. they seem to prefer to give you asthma medication that raises your blood pressure and makes your heart race. this stuff doesn't do that - and i'm VERY sensitive. what's more, although they recommend it 3x per day, i use it about once a week and i can't even begin to tell you - those who know i've had years of what a lot of different doctors said was permanent asthma will be surprised to hear that i no longer suffer from it

I just pop a Claritin every day before leaving the house. Seems to do me well. Without it, I'd have my face permanently buried in a Kleenex box until late May.

hehe yeah they do. Paid travel to conventions and conferences, office supplies, gifts and all kinds of stuff to promote certain drugs. It's a pretty messed up system, actually. That and advertising prescription drugs on TV. IMHO
