I thought the question was what I'd accept at the present time.In the unlikely scenario of an industry-wide, unanimous, sweeping change, I don't know what I would do personally, but I would question the sanity of the program owners in some cases. In other cases I'd ask them to back up their research and due dilligence. And in fewer cases it might be a good move but I'm not convinced that would be the majority.
I'd think that the rule of thumb is if they don't have a property that converts like Michael Moore in an IHOP then they better have triple-checked the math and be able to prove it's a good-to-neutral thing for the remaining affiliates. And to do that, there would have to be more to the equation than just cutting everybody's pay for the sake of greed.
