Have an idea and make it come to life!

Yeah that's just scary. At least with an e-stalker I feel someone insulated and what not. I can keep the person at a web's length.
Babe I don't want to creep you out, but do NOT fall into this false sense of security. I did and I was wrong.
I had an e-stalker for years. It actually started in an AOL chat in 1995 and lasted until the ealy part of 2001.
It all started out very innocently and we had fun in the chatrooms. But it got intense about a year into it. I would try to avoid him online and the more I avoided him the weirder it got.
Now, in that time period I moved from the east coast, to the west coast and back again. I closed my AOL account, had three different ISPs and three different phone numbers. And each time he found me. It was intense. I knew he was in Canada and I thought that was a good buffer zone.
This guy was VERY thorough. I used to use the screen name Jake and never mentioned my real name, but somewhere along the line I must have talked about adult webmastering or something because he knew when I started using Gary-Alan (and I never use this name when I would do chatrooms). He was finding my numbers from the companies I worked for - he evidently was calling as a customer and asking for me. They would give him my number, because I worked from home and it was the way to get me.
I started getting VERY nasty calls and messages from him. I thought it was easy to delete message or just hangup. But it got to the point where I had to call the phone company and get the authorities involved, when he found my address and was threatening to come down and see me to finish this once and for all.
The phone company gave me a special code I needed to put in after every call he made to me. If his number showed up three times or more then there was a case. So that's what I did. When they tracked him down, he told the police and agents that I liked it all and that we were lovers and I was just mad at him because he moved out.
They laughed and told him that his number and name showed up on a special report 127 times in 5 days. They didn't take his bullshit at all, thankfully. The good part, in my mind, was he had been calling from his mother's house that last week. And she lived somewhere in Michigan. So even though he lived in Toronto, he was in the US when he got caught. He spent a few days in jail and hit with tons of fines. He called me a few times from Toronto and I hit that code into my phone, and it registered that number. The last I heard the Canadian authorities were dealing with him and had something else on him. So, he was going to jail for that. I never found out what the other thing was but of course in my imagination he murdered some other person he was stalking.
So to end a very long story, I haven't heard a peep for over three years. And I like it that way.
But my advice is to not think that you can keep it online. If the person is demented AND detail oriented they can figure shit out without you realizing it.
Good luck, bud!
Gary-Alan
