If I understand it right, the whole 2257 thing is more about teaching people to keep correct records and not so much about illegal content.
Almost every time I read about something in relation to 2257, it says that some company didn't have their docs in order and mostly they were granted time to correct the issue.
I also have the impression that they seem to look mainly after websites which clearly adult models, where only a blind could have any doubts about the legal age of the protagonists.
Which on the other hand makes me feel good, because there can't be so much real crime out there in porn world when authorities and investigators keep themselves busy with checking companies for correct paperwork.
But hold on, maybe it's just the easier catch with a lot of public attention, so they don't have to dig into the real dirt. And this would really make me worry.
