Chip, as you know he posts on GMS why did you call him out here, where he is banned, but not on GMS where he could actually answer these allegations?

I get the feeling this was posted more to alert other people on GWW that someone they *may* have trusted in the past is planning on posting stolen content of theirs.

There is nothing to answer either, its only an allegation if there is no proof to back it up... Otherwise, we call it 'fact'.

I must say though, im amazed at how blindly you seem to defend this guy, he was in contact with underage would-be models on MySpace trying to groom them for adult work once they were of legal age, you defended him, he was caught with stolen content in his site, you defended him, he's caught yet again talking about stealing peoples content and sharing it illegally and, yet again you are here defending him.. :eek:

thanx ounique. thats the first good reply i read on this issue... i personally know of NO ONE (except for my 80 year old parents) who has NEVER ripped a piece of music, downloaded a software, etc.

Of all people, you, as someone who licenses the copyrighted content held by photographers, should respect the value of intellectual property and be against intellectual property theft.

If everyone simply swiped Ounique's content and uploaded it to Rapidshare for free, you wouldn't have a job.

gaqybucks THATS not the point... the point is.. if YOU take a look at your computer... is it free of any ripped software? free of ripped movies? ripped music? have you never visited youtube and watched free videos that were probably uploaded without copyright? When you started off your business, did you buy photoshop directly or did you use a "crack"??? but please be honest! i dont know ANYONE who has no cracks at all on his pc...

We do exist.

I have NO unlicensed software on my computer AT ALL. When possible, I do reinstall software on my laptop that I've licensed for my desktop. But when a second license is required for the laptop, I pay for the second license.

Actually, Max is the one who is always complaining about how bad business is becoming.

We're on track to have one of our best years ever, and not only are we working on a major upgrade to our existing sites, we have a totally new project in the works with an alternate revenue model, as well as some non-adult projects. There are many different business models and ways of monetizing content, surfers, members, and the point that I and others have been attempting to make to Max over time was simply that you can't continue to bitch about how the models are changing, you just need to roll with it.

However, adapting to changing business models and actively supporting and contributing to the theft of copyrighted intellectual property are two entirely different things.

Same here. The last thing you need is dodgy stolen software hacking your system or setting something off in windows

God I'm glad the floppy days are over! Now they just need to phase out CD's and convert to flash cards for everything :thumbsup:

I've told you my point of view. And threatening to "packet sniff" my computer and being a dick wont get you an answer to your question.

It's obvious you think people with no pirated software on their computer don't exist, or are rare, which says a lot about what's propably on your computer. No packet sniff needed, just deductive logic

And NONE of this has anything to do with Maxpower stealing content and publishing it for a profit, or no profit. No matter how you spin it Ounique IT'S WRONG!
