What Would Be Needed To Shoot 'Retro' Porn These Days?

I wonder how much those "Behind the Green Door" people and porn stars of that era were paid.

Bet they were lucky to get $100 per scene.

The thing about doing "retro" porn today is that it's not "retro" if they're using condoms. That's what pulls me out of those gladiator-themed movies from Private Men. They're set in ancient times, and then the models roll a condom on their dicks and it destroys the whole thing for me. I'm a stickler for authenticity.

That's why I think it will be cool to have the technology to somehow digitally remove the condom from the shot if you are trying to shoot something that's a period film. As long as there's a message before the movie starts that says "Condoms were used in the making of this film, but were digitally removed to preserve authenticity of the period," it's all good.

I don't know why anyone would want to res-"erect" an old style - knock offs are dumb in my opinion unless they are "contemporised" and made to be comedies...

I think Lee might have meant "retro-style" porn, as opposed to direct knock-offs of other titles. Personally, I would love to see someone do a contemporary version of retro porn. After all, those retro fashions are all very popular now with the American Apparel crowd and those who read BUTT magazine, so "retro" is definitely in. I think just having models who don't look like they worship at the altar of G.Y.M. and approaching it with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor would be kinda cool at EVOKING retro porn, as opposed to just mimicking it.
