Surfers by and large do nott give a shit about 2257 or know what it is
if they did they wouldn't scour the torrents, irc, newsgroups, rapidshare and forums and download anything in sight but would instead be downloading only from sites that 'make them feel safe'.

The only way surfers would give a shit, more than 2 of them, is if their free porn got taken away.

Unless that surfer is buying access to sites that have boys that look 15 I don't see how if at all 2257 will make them feel safe. But in that case these would most likely be 15 year old boys that just got the right date stamped on their fake IDs.

Now if we're talking foreign program owners - most definately they should comply as best as local law allows them, if of course they care about having US webmasters. US webmasters that do want to comply with 2257 regs

But for me, no amount of 2257 compliance and copies of a model's IDs and what not, would even remotely convince me to even look much less promote some of the pre-pubescent /looking/ crap some so called webmasters are trying to push as teen that as if it's 100% 2257 compliant.
