Some Of These Sites Are Such Traffic Leaks

This is a never ending battle.

Traffic leaks happen in three places when dealing with revshare:

1. The tour.
2. The join page (alternative billing options)
3. The members area. Some are just so dman will to pop up PPS banners on the main members page to make a buck.

That's why when i market a site heavily I really have to look at all three.

Traffic leaks are the new black. Everyone is all up in arms about them.

I do think that some people freak out a bit TOO much about traffic leaks.

Ok, at Fratmen we have zero links to other sites.

We DO have a phone-billing option (but those people generally dont' have Credit cards and you woudln't have made a sale anyway) and we have the option to buy DVDs.

To hear some affilaites freak out about how we're "ripping them off" and "Taking advantage of them" is just confusing.

in the past, programs i used paid 10% more if they had traffic leaks to make up for using our traffic for their own sales.

and in addition to using affiliates' traffic without paying for it, there's another issue i sometimes have with traffic leaks. i reviewed a site last night that had more links on it to DVD sales than to join the site. and you could easily get confused and annoyed by these and end up leaving the site if you didn't want to buy dvds because surfers could easily end up at a DVD sale page over and over without meaning or wanting to.
