Gay Marriage - It's our Pearl Harbor.
DRM is only a part of an overall anti-piracy campaign. You cannot expect it to be a cure all for piracy. You have to back it up with anti-piracy enforcement as well.
DRM keeps the casual user from becoming a pirate and illegally sharing content. There is always going to be the hardcore people that will rip content from DVD and make it available online in P2P.
Piracy can never be eliminated, but it can be curbed and gotten under control.
We are the most aggresive studio when it comes to protecting it's content online and all our content is DRM protected. We are also having the best year we have ever had! For us DRM has not been a problem and has helped slow the casual user from illegally sharing our content.
DRM combined with legal enforcement in P2P and Torrent sites has been successful for us.
Just another viewpoint. ;-)
