Agreed and i have absolutely no problem with that, so long as im actually at the show and allow one of the booth bunnies to scan my badge.

But AVN selling MY information at a show that i never attended in the first place is just downright dispicable especially from a company who are purported to be industry 'leaders' :eek:

You both raise a good point.

The company American Merchant Systems is pretty aggressive in its mailings - we've gotten a few from them over the years. So it's possible they used a previous year's list where you did attend - but it does sound a little odd that they would be addressing the letter as though they'd met you at Internext this year.

It clearly doesn't make sense that they'd be saying "we met you at Internext" as a result of buying AVN's list if you weren't even at Internext this year, so it seems more likely they bought somebody else's list and didn't bother to change the letter.

Maybe you should give them a quick call. That would clear up once and for all if AVN sold them a list or if they got it elsewhere.

I'll say it again. We don't sell our lists.
If someone has your information, it wasn't because we sold them a list.
Maybe, instead of pointing the finger at us, you should contact the company who said they met you at a show you weren't at.

I'll also mention again, that anyone who wants to discuss the issue with me, or any other one for that matter, can feel free to contact me at any time. My info is listed in this thread. I'd be happy to discuss anything, but I won't continue to do it on the boards or to be personally insulted.
