The trial judge knows all the facts of the case, even those that are not disclosed to the jury.

The appellate court [and in this case it is the Georgia Supreme Court] knows all the facts that are contained in the record.

Both have access to more facts than the public, and access to more facts than are presented in the press.

The trial judge and the Georgia Supreme Court both believed that Wilson should go free. That is good enough for me.
