I think PayPal now processes for adult hard goods~

I am not sure about this, but it seems to me that PayPal will now process for hard goods like DVD's.

I am not sure when this changed either -- I was under the impression that PayPal has been a no-adult processor for many years, so this could be the beginning of a nice change. PayPay got big by processing adult websites and then got high and mighty when they were purchased.

My understanding is that they will, but you have to meet certain requirements, specifically a pretty large volume (I believe the number I heard was $5000+ per week) and you have to go through a specific process to get approved, you can't just add Paypal to your site.

I do think it's a step in the right direction. My guess is they figure that anyone with a large volume is likely to play by the rules, both in terms of shipping and fraud as well as 2257. I hope that in time they relax the rules and allow smaller merchants to process with them as well.

Chip is correct (although the figure is significantly less than $5k per week) and they have done this for about a year or so now i beleive.

hehe having been in the boat myself the funds where release after 180 days as they didnt get any chargebacks on the orders etc..

sadly the option to process is only open to the US at this point in time.. and Lee what is the $$ amount needed to open if you dont mind ?

we have been using PayPal since they purchased VeriSign. No major problems yet. I do know that you can not be listed in their merchant directory, and you have to be sure that it is a merchant account and not just a normal PayPal account.

And with the purchase of VeriSign they have 800 customer service so you might be able to get those funds released if you call them.
