My experience with the DVD market is limited to Teens and straight hardcore but this is it. The DVD buyer, both shop and consumer are far more loyal to a brand than Internet porn consumers. Might be because all the DVD shoes is a few pictures on the box. So when a customer finds one that keeps it's promises he buys the next in the series. Not 100% but often enough.
Which is why some companies can afford to spend $100k on a movie and others struggle to make a profit spending $10k.
As I said just my experience.
