I tend to disagree a bit on this one.
The straight side has always had pretty much the same standard (as far as the outbound links go). The gay side has always been more lenient.
To me, it was never a choice of being afraid that a submitter was making a sale and I wasn't. It was simple math - 50 sites a day versus 20 getting submitted. Which ones had to go? The ones that had FPA's. Why? Because all sites have now is reused sponsor content anyways. Why torture a bookmarker with an ad before they get to see content that they have already seen a thousand times.
Link list owners fight for bookmarkers. A surfer that has hit the links has already been exposed to the link list owners ads and decided not to buy.
