You need a program that allows affiliate codes to be passed through the RSS feed. The easiest and cheapest one to use is BlogsOrganizer with the Affiliate Module. Once its setup, you just have to write posts and use {aff} everywhere you want the affiliate code to be carried.

I would stay away from trying to get this working in WP, mainly because its not easy plus WP is always running into security problems so you would be setting yourself up for constant script update work. Also, BlogsOrganizer lets you run as many blogs and RSS feeds as you want, plus gives you the bonus of being able to offer your affiliates hosted blogs, for instance, our hosted blogs are:
http://mygaymovies.com/?aff=yourloginid
http://mygayphotos.com/?aff=yourloginid

As for do's and dont's, affiliates like a bit of descriptive text (not just one liners) and large crisp pictures in their blog entries. Don't overdo each entry, but make sure its enough to get those clicks and get some SEO value too. Check out our two hosted blogs above for some examples.

Let me know if you need further help.

cheers,
Luke

Does this work with nats encrypted link codes or do you have to use the nats user id?
