Hey Guys,


Juuuust wondering if you guys speak a language besides English, and if you ever use it on your sites? I should be Frenching it soon with Lee so I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have on this kind of stuff if you have some.

most of the sites i have marketed made the most sales after the u.s. in the uk, germany and japan. after those countries, what niche i was marketing became an issue. for example, hairy guys and bodybuilders sell well to guys in spain and italy but other niches didn't do too well with italy, and did less in spain.

but japan and germany were fairly consistant...

anyone else?

my personal experience is that french guys from both france and canada do not like to buy. i read an article a couple months ago that said that french canadians are the one who burn the most bandwidth by checking out the largest number of pics in galleries and free sites without buying.

My most recent boyfriend was french.
I won't go further than to stress the past-tensing of the statement.

However, we have a Global department and have our site translated into seven different languages. It works pretty well for us.

English (humm... approx 20some years now - started in 3rd grade)
Spanish (had this in oral exams for graduation but used very seldom in real world)
French (had it for 3 years, hated ever single day, refuse to speak but can undersand a tiny bit)

Well.. I took four years of Latin in high school. Since I'm neither a lawyer nor a doctor, it's not doing me an extravagant amount of benefit now. Though I can recite most of the opening lines of the Aeneid.

Maybe I should start taking night classes, though. We do a lot of foreign business between manufacturers and affiliates.
