Is Spam getting worse?

I got a spam -- on a non-Appriver account -- from Kofi Annan himself today (or so some dumbass Nigerian wanted me to believe) saying that the UN had been "meeting continuously for the last 7 months" and had "decided to give $100,000 to anyone who felt they'd been scammed by any country." All I needed to do was contact the UN's representative at Citibank of Nigeria.

You can guess the rest.

I don't even sell DVDs. I got this -

My God!! This is that same guy in Florida that claims to buy in large bulk and then tries using stolen credit cards!! If I'm not mistaken, he did this to Jake Cruise in 2006 and got busted.

I very well may be mistaken on the actual studio....but he did get in trouble, then he changed his name, but obviously not his scam. I've read other threads and posts about him on here...I can't believe this guy isn't in prison yet!!!!

I am told that he also ripped off Pacific Sun some years back.

The guy was actually stupid enough to show up here on GWW a year or so back (under two different identities) and try to defend himself. Once he figured out we had his number, he vanished pretty quickly, but the thread is in the archive if you want a laugh.

I get a TON of barn yard emails. At least 10-20 per day. Most say, "Hot Babe gets dicked by hung dog." I just purge them. I hate them. My yahoo email is the worst.

I also believe that Yahoo sells your email address to "spammers." I have a 2nd yahoo address. Never gave the email address out. And within 24 hours after I set it up, I got spammed now receiving up to about 800 spam emails per day. So now I do give that email address out to online stuff to subscribe to crap and things like that.
