The Chinese are actually making a killing in the US economy right now. They mainly invest in bonds. When the equity market takes a dive, then the bond market goes up. They have been cashing in their bonds as in one day the basis point went up 20 points. Quite a nice profit for all those billion dollar investments that they keep making in our economy.
