Lee,

I fully understand your point. But, I just disagree. If BlakeMason started another site with the same models in various niches, then I can assure you that BlakeMason would not be the success that it is.

Concerning branding:

Yes, affiliates have helped branded our site. However, I would also argue that spending $10k+ a month on various forms of advertising brands the site very effectively as well.

Surfers know that if a video appears on BlakeMason it will never appear anywhere else. With an average member comeback percentage of over 70% within 3 months, I would say that the model is working really well.

The last thing that a site that has spent 100's of thousands of dollars building a brand with content only seen on that site wants to do is start spreading the content across various sites.

It's one thing when you buy exclusive content from various producers at say $500 a video and spread it across various sites. It's quite another thing when some of the films we produce cost upwards of $5,000 each.

The best way, imho, for a site like BlakeMason, to monetize is to create the best films we can with the best model we can get, keep it exclusive to Blakemason, and spend resourses on building the brand.

The Randy Blue/ Sean Cody/ Corbin Fisher/ Blake Mason type of model is hard for some to understand. I believe (can only really speak for Blake mason) in saying that we are not trying to create more and more porn sites, but making the one that we have the best it can be and put our resources in that.

It seems to be working pretty damn good for BlakeMason.
