Dunno if you've checked out skyauction.com, but they somtimes have really good deals. YOu have to look carefully, because the auctions don't include taxes and fees, which can be another $200 on the ticket, but I remember when we were pricing tickets to New Zealand, they had some great deals if you didn't mind flying some totally off brand airline, and some not-as-great-but-still-good deals for name-brand airlines.
