Now crushing cockroaches is something I could get into! Not for the erotic thrill but because they're revolting. I read once that the reason poison baits work is because one roach eats it and then goes back to the nest. The roaches there will eat the original roach's poisoned excrement and then when it dies they'll also consume the poisoned corpse. Can you imagine? "What's for dinner tonight, mom?" "I'm still trying to decide, honey...shall we eat grandma's crap or her corpse?" Ewwww....(shudder)
