it is probably not good to keep egging the guy on over at gms by keeping replying to him here and not there he is obviously a known scammer by the sounds of it so just let it be at that this thread is here and the one on gms to let people find out about him if they wanted to
I think it's just frustrating for a lot of people who put time and effort into informing the community of who this guy was three years ago.

Sam Eborall used to be the owner of British Bucks according to whois. Now the owner is Insane Web Media Limited , which he could own, I just haven't searched hard for the records.

Part of the reason I post info that I learn is in the hopes that people will do a simple forum search before doing business with someone, especially someone with Samebb's bad history.
Posting information, and links to it, isn't drama, it's people getting caught out kicking and screaming that causes the drama.. creating a distraction so people wont pay attention, something Sam Eborall has had a lot of practice at

You know, to be fair, its not just Sam, everyone doing business with anyone should be going to the boards and searching for information on the person they are going to be working with, whether its a designer, programmer, hosting company or affiliate program.Originally Posted by Squirt
Im constantly amazed at the amount of people who start posting they have been 'scammed' by somebody that already has a history of scamming people, especially on the sponsor program side of things by not paying their affiliates, but rather than spending a few minutes checking an affiliate programs past history, people rush to signup to a program, send thousands upon thousands of hits then go to the boards when they dont get paid.
If these people had bothered to check on various industry forums or post a thread asking for help and advice about programs or individuals before doing business with them, i really do beleive a lot of those who prey on the lazy, naive or newbie adult webmasters would be out of business.
At the end of the day, i think a lot of time people dont post because they dont want to be seen as causing 'drama' because yet again, certain companies and individual in the past have associated questioning business practices as drama so they can keep distracting people from the issues that should matter, whether they do or do not pay affiliates, whether their design work is up to scratch or whether their advertising actually works, etc, etc...
The only people or companies imho, who are going to get pissed with someone posting on a board asking about their business practices, are the ones with something to hide.

Yeah I totally agree. Scanning board before you do business with someone, or even on a minimal level Googling them, should be standard business practice.
