Hi all. Haven't been here for ages, my board surfing has really dropped lately.

I take umbrage at that Daily Mail article which is mere opinion, not fact. Anyone who dismisses porn surfing women as "unfeminine" doesn't deserve the time of day, I think. The author takes her own experience and portrays it as being common to all women.

Some women do like twinks - the creators of the new Filament magazine feature "thin beautiful" guys because she did a bunch of research and that was the result she got.

I'm personally not big on the emo type guys in that mag. For The Girls predominantly has muscley men, but they're not all beefcake. We try and feature a variety of guys.

And yeah, women do enjoy gay hardcore porn. When I started out in 2000 we were determined to NOT be gay because everyone dismissed the idea of porn for women as just being another gay niche (i.e. that there were no real female surfers). Hey Karen, good to have you dropping by! Thanks for your thoughts on that article, always good to have another point of view. I personally enjoy looking at the beefy, older males rather than twinks, but I have to remember that everyone out there isn't my age either! I think that their are already a lot of gay hardcore sites that are accessible to women.

I can only speak for myself, you understand, but I think that the sites who focus on very sexy men/models, good body types and good sex can all be winners with the female market.

Caveats would be - hardcore/extreme niche content would lower the potential market share (of course).

The sites, while not being feminine, can be designed in such a way as to highlight the images and not distract the eye with fuss and crassness.
Again - I'd refer to Manifest Men as an example of a site that is very female friendly, accessible and doesn't make me feel like I'm treading where I'm not welcome.

Perhaps Karen and Bec can fill out that idea a bit more for me. I'm having trouble finding the words I need to really describe the concept.
