I Truly Dont Get Straight Webmasters At All

They are happy to post on boards like GFY or NetPond looking for gay program offerings to promote, even specifically asking for 'gay only' programs.

Yet when they are told to post on a gay marketing forum they reply with something along the lines of 'why would i want to be posting on a gay board' I mean seriously, WTF is that about?

Some straight people are weird. Perhaps they think that they'll be infected with gay if they come here?

I have to admit though, I have never had a lot of interest in checking out GFY. It's probably an interesting resource, but since I am gay and only work with gay websites then I don't see much need for it. A site like GWW is much more oriented to my needs. Perhaps they're just working on a sub-project and don't feel need to get so gay-specialized here. Hrm.

Then again perhaps they're simply afraid they'll see a dick on this site that isn't attempting to enter a pussy. A lot of straight guys get noticeably uncomfortable if there isn't a pair of tits or a pussy in their porn pics.

Now you have my curious. Are you male or female, and how did you come to be working in the "gay sector" of the porn business?

In my experience there are plenty of male webmasters who work with both straight and gay sides of the business, but more women than men that work full-time at it. Having had two assistants in my business over the years, one a gay male and one a straight female, I would actually be surprised to meet a straight guy working full-time in the gay porn business ('cept as a gay-for-pay model, maybe).

(Funny side note: there's a very funny video scene/photo set on the Jake Cruise website featuring some young stud fucking Jake Cruise in the middle of his office where his staff are working. Very prominently in a lot of the shots are the staff working, but often they're pointing and laughing at the sex going on in front of them. One of the employees is a woman who half the time was blushing and the other half was laughing.)

I think it's great - I like scared straights.

I think we should point them to those lame programs created by straight webmaster companies - keep all the good-selling programs for ourselves.

I think we should start a myth - that you can't market gay porn without catching "teh ghey".

I just joined this fourm but I promote Gay sites & sell gay content also I have a fair amount of gay friends I party with so it just seems natural to post here & make new webmaster friends.

Well, yes, i am a female

And if to be honest i still work both in gay and straight niches. In the "gay sector" i came suddenly i'd say. I was marketing just commong "straight porn" but on different boards i've been reading that shemales and gay programs convert better. But even then i didn't start with "gay niche". Lately one of the fellow webmasters asked me to help him a bit with something (i don't remember now). He was working in the "gay" niche. And... i liked it

And people on the boards were right: it does convert well
