So how's it going this week Bill? Still not feeling effects from Chemo? Any new reports from the docs?
Hey Bec...
No, not really. That crap kinda drains you and I've had a few days of napping on and off most of the day, but other than that, feeling pretty good.
I go in for the next round on the 27th, 28 and 29th. They are telling me that at sometime after that I may start losing my hair.......gawd, can't imagine being bald. But, I've decided to take the "bull by the horns" so to speak, and we're having a "hair cutting" party on Halloween, the 31st. The guy that normally cuts my hair has agreed to come to the house, we're having friends over for cocktails (doubt I"ll be doing any drinking). Gonna start with a mohawk....get some photos, then, just take it all off and shave, and then, of course, more photos. Only thing I really regret is losing my beard. Oh well. Primary reason for the "hair cutting" party is so I can maintain some control over when I choose to be beautifully bald, and, my 3 year old granddaughter, who lives with me....will have fun helping to shave off granddad's hair.
Carved a pumpkin on Sunday, had CBC blood tests on Monday and everything is normal, and last night my daughter and granddaughter drew a pumpkin face on my old fat belly.....that was a hoot. I'd post it here but afraid I'd scare the hell out of everyone.
Just got to maintain a fighting spirit along with a positive energy, and keep chasing my granddaughter and wire haired doxie around the house.
Hugs,
Bill
Bec,
Sounds like a good idea to me! Just don't want to cost Lee too many forum readers. Ah hell, they've seen worse!

In the hospital...or as my three year granddaughter says...."hopsittle", tomorrow to have a medi-port put in.....just some outpatient day surgery, then back home to relax and get ready for the next round of chemo next week.
Lots of new experiences so it's kind of interesting but ya just gotta fight and keep making that lemonade.
Hugs to all,
Bill

And, Danny, if you find me that sexy, you just get that skinny butt of yours on a plane on c'mon over to Delaware!!

So how's things going this week Bill? Looking forward to the shave-a-thon?
Hey Bec-
I'm a bad boy for not writing. I've been so damn tired lately just haven't really done a lot.
Last Thursday the 22nd, my hair started falling out so couldn't wait till this weekend.
Had some friends over last Friday the 23rd and had the "shave-a-thon". Started first with dying it bright blue. My granddaughter just thought that was a hoot. Then after an appropriate amount of photos, we started to cut and shave. End result is I'm bald as a bat. Didn't mind so much losing the hair on top of my head, but damn I hated to lose my beard. Oh well, what'cha gonna do?
Went in today to start my latest round of chemo but unfortunately my white bloods count dropped quite drastically so they could not do the chemo. Normal for the WBC ranges from 5.5 to 19.5 and mine have dropped to 2.5. I've now been grounded. Gawd, I feel like a teen-ager. Not allowed to leave the house under any circumstances and guests have been restricted. Guess they are afraid of me maybe catching some nasty bug. Hell, they don't even want me drinking any Crown Royal.:toiletpaper:
After the shaving was all finished, we took a few pictures. Here's a couple that should get a good laugh.
Everyone around here has now started calling me either Buddha Bill or The Delaware Dali Lama and that Crown Royal is now the new official holy water.
Hugs,
Bill
omg! is that really you doing the dali lama pose????
Oh yeah, that's me
