So who and how does someone promote AAG? A whole site or blog devoted to it, and maybe a few other similar sites....? If they are doing so well, they must in part have a number of affiliates.

It's advertised as a fitness magazine, but mostly all they write about is how "sexy" and "hot" their models are, lots of them shown hot and bothered and ready for action, all bare skin right down to a fraction of an inch away from their genitals. There's a cam area with a guy butt naked looking like he's fucking the couch he's laying on or about to get humped. Gimme a break. I don't think people into fitness would ever look at this site unless they like men sexually.

I have to agree -- the site presents itself as "adult" content in a lot of ways.

And the proof of this is their (apparent) success AND this thread alone shows that adult webmasters see it as appropriate and worthwhile to their own businesses. Not talking about a few people who might register to anything without a glance but experienced webmasters.

Regardless that AAG's affiliate policy is odd, I do understand it's still their right. But I still don't get how the company is presumably so successful with this policy, how and who promotes it, and who looks at it. I can see it popular with some women, some men. It makes me wonder if there is population/market of closeted or "curious" men who seek erotica that simultaneously pretends it isn't, that hides genitalia because that is "too gay" or too much for them to take yet or ever. Unless it's shown in the member's area (LOL).

There's Man of Muscle now, and maybe I should chat with Patti about that. Looks hot and have to see what the affiliate terms are.

They're not alone in having a borderline pornographic site while disallowing actual porn sites as affiliates.

http://www.suicidegirls.com has a similar policy. I remember trying to join their program way back when I had some straight traffic. They shot me down too. If I remember correctly, they weren't very nice about it either.

AAG can do what they want. They can cut you loose because your name rubbed them wrong

However, they shouldn't be terminating affiliates left and right without first clearly stating what their traffic policies are. Even the shady Acai offers in mainstream clearly state what traffic they'll take

AAG's way of doing things is is shady to put it mildly, unless they're paying the commission earned by the affiliate and then closing the account?!

I'm looking at their webmaster page right now and there is nothing on it mentioning they don't accept porn traffic!

There's a nearly naked guy and a CCBill affiliate form below him. I don't know about other people but when I see CCBill affiliate form on a site with almost naked dudes I tend think porn traffic would be OK.

My account got canceled yesterday, signed up a week ago, just enough time for me to get all links and banners up....

If they don't want porn, that's fine by me, but put it on the damn signup page! Saves me and them time and efforts.
