see i did that to a blog I have and disappeared from google alerts until the other day when i went back to only pingomatic again!

I don't know maybe i over did it and pinged too many places?

A big ping list is best used with a ping plugin that only pings when the article actually goes live, and doesn't re-ping if you do edits. Also, if you have multiple articles going live at the same time, space them out to at least half an hour in between.

yea, you end up on his email optin list, but the plugin (and some of his others) are worth the time it takes me to delete 'em (or read them, some have useful info).
