How Easily Can You Switch Your Traffic Around?

When it comes to the residual or new traffic you are pulling in to your sites, how easily can you switch the destination site you send that traffic too?

For example, are you using a central ad system to server banners on yoru sites, using something specific to handle text links, redirecting traffic using .htaccess or php redirects?

Have you got a system in place that easily allows you to swap out where you are sending your traffic from your sites once you actually have it?

I can switch traffic centralized and by domain, but there was no need to do so yet... I do not work with banners though.

It's very bad for me, but that would be difficult for me to switch the traffic

I could prolly swap 50% of my traffic within an hour, another 40% within a week, the other 10% maybe within a few months.

All our links across 130 some sites now are in ad systems. I can change 99.9% of the links on our sites in a minute.

for me most have to be done manually, so would be kinda time consuming (for my slave at least)

Its not an ad management script. Basically we have all our links in a database which is copied/shared between our servers. All our sites use a goto script calling the links from that database. We use OpenX for banners, and all the links in that have the goto links. Any other script, gallery, page, etc that has links to sites in them also use the same goto links. So once we change the original database, all the goto links are changed instantly. Makes for super easy changes.

What I mean by goto script, some may call it a redirect script.

Like this link http://www.gaypornsitetours.com/goto/site/381.html is setup to go to our 18andUpStuds site with a specific campaign link. The link redirects to the link with id 381 in the database. You could also do it without a db, and just use a flat file.
