Your first examples are payment "communities" - the user must first join the community before he can make any payment, which adds extra steps and authentication for the user and kills spontaneous joins - those are not direct payment methods, and therefore the system should be a well-known brand to instill confidence in the user.
There isn't really a brand for the direct payment methods - you are talking about methods including credit card and direct debit - Obviously there is a Visa and direct debit logo involved, but what is most important is to have the best presentation of options on your pre-join page instantly recognizable to the European surfer. It is always best to have the most direct communication possible between the user and the payment institution.
