Go cheap, it's fun for a while, then it gets kinda old and boring.
I think I saw or heard skype has been messing up peoples computers too, so you might want to look into recent problems first.

And being from PA where the school turned on the kids laptops while they were home in their bedrooms.....unplug it or cover up the lens when not in use.
