Just curious to see who on the board here thinks the "worst" part of the "internet recession" is over in the adult section?
Anyone seeing any encouraging signs, signals of improvement, or hope on the horizon?

My biggest concern about 1012 is that it is an election year in the US.
Political campaigning started right after January 1. In 2010, the last national election year, my worst month for sales of 12 months before and 12 months after, was October 2010, the final weeks before the November election.
The negative ads make people depressed. The TV news shows are dominated by this day-to-day horse race, that's going to last 10 months and 1 week. People do contribute money to campaigns. People volunteer time to go door-to-door and telephone. Election years are not our friends.
Also, it has been a mild winter up until just a week or so ago, so people are not staying indoors. The Super Bowl occupied some people's attention.
When I used to work in the niteclub business, we always pretty much wrote off the time period between New Year's and Valentines Day.
While in the past, January was a big month for me, like December, this year, January was down 10% from the December high.
Can't ignore Tube Sites and blogs that still give away too much, and torrent sites that still exist to give away it all. With gay porn, just giving away the full frontal reveal can be enough to satisfy the viewer so he/she clicks on to the next offering on the buffet line.

I can't speak for the last 6 weeks, but the Sept-Dec period was really good for sales, especially December where there was a real indication that the bounce back was on. And since all those file locker sites have been changed after the MegaUpload closure, I can only guess that membership sales have been improving!
That's great news, Jayden!!!
Absolutely Fabulous!
Speaking of which..anyone see the two new shows they made this year yet?
Patsy & Eddie that is..I read where there will be five total made.
Must say Eddie looks a LITTLE bit fatter..but Patsy MUST have had some work done. She still looks good. But Bubbles..OMG..looks like an old lady! The daughter definitely looks like she's headed for middle age. But Grandma looks grand!
Absolutely Fabulous Darlink!
I honestly did not know about MegaUpload until I was browsing through something last night on YouTube and a guy was offering different hacks or something on his YouTube video. I decided to take a peak at MegaUpload. Wow! I didn't expect to see that big image where the website was seized.
It makes me wonder though, I'm sure a lot of people still visit the site and see that. I wonder if it makes people think...
One thing that I would love to see there is a statement to the effect of sharing movies, files, etc. is illegal and what the penalties could be. I would like to see the reactions of others.
I think it's only a matter of time before other file locker sites like FileSonic, FilesMonster, etc. go down like that.
Of course I saw them both already! HI-LAR-I-OUS!!!!! I loved them both. I also saw both Jennifer Saunders & Joanna Lumley as guests on The Graham Norton show just before the first one was released, around the beginning of Dec. The scoop is that they made 3 of them, one for Christmas, one for New Years and the final one is airing this Saturday. And both of them were pretty adamant that they were only doing 3 more shows and not starting up the series again.
Ah..only making 3 total? I had read they were making 5. Well, then said their 2003 show was the last one they were going to make..and 9 years later they change their mind. Of course at this rate their both gonna be well into their 100's when they do another one. What the heck..why not?
