Its amazing, I discovered stacking bottles on their side is an incredible way to save them during a quake. Having glasses on an open shelf, on the other hand, is not!
...but, yes, I am actually (truly) amazed at how well prepared Costa Rica is to deal with these things. I guess its just normal to have to weather thru torrential downpours, earthquakes, hillside slips, etc here. I can tell ya something, in comparison to Panama, CR is first world all the way!
