If they don't agree, they can easily delete the listing in the blacklist thread. I can only go on what I'm seeing on this board, as I rarely read GD these days and am not familiar with the "who is friends with who" list.

I may regret saying this.... but I don't think Stunner gives a damn about this board. They talk and advertise on Gaydemon. And there aren't enough webmasters that bother to actually POST and/or advertise here now, regardless of ownership, to keep the board a viable domain property. Which in, and of, itself is sad.

If webmasters have a problem with me and won't post here as a result... fine, just say so, and I'll step down as a board monitor.

Bec - You're being a bit too hasty. I know Damian VERY well - see him in person once or twice a week and talk to him pretty much every day on Skype. There is no reason to blacklist him. I vouch for him and I could give you a long list of people who are well known in the industry who'd vouch for him. Since GWW is owned by Stunner - start with Lloyd - he knows Damian pretty well. I seriously doubt Stunner would support Damian being targeted on a blacklist on a site they own.

Just so you know - Damian's program is one of the most profitable programs out there. Thing is, he's never dealt with small players very well - he only really pays attention to people who make money for him. I know I had some accounting issues before he had sites that converted well for me. That doesn't make him a bad guy. All it means is that he's a small shop and he focuses on the things that matter.

Nick - I think you're the person I've heard Damian talk about (the story sounds familiar) - your DVDs went in a landfill many years ago. You're not getting them back - get over it.

PPV Networks has been removed from the blacklist. I know Damien personally and his business and ethics are both solid. I would personally market his sites.

My only point is that to put one of the industry's top sponsors on a blacklist just seemed wrong. What does that say about the black list? What does it say about the board? What does it say about the owner of the site? Luckily Damian, Lloyd & I are all friends and we hang out on a semi-regular basis (often with our boyfriends), and Lloyd was capable of correcting the mistake.

The guy takes my stuff, posts my videos on his site and blanks me, no return of videos, and no royalties either.

I thought this was a board for some open discussion. I had hoped to at least get my videos removed from his site but I guess being pragmatic was not the way to go. Had I been friends with any of you, it would have counted for much more.

I didn't remove him from the blacklist because he lives in NYC and I live in NYC and about once a month we go out and network a little bit.

Someone asked to have his company put on a blacklist on Feb 3 and he was put on the blacklist the same day. I am going to discuss this issue with him and if I don't get a satisfactory answer then his company will go back on the blacklist.

It's as simple as that.

It's about reputation. Damian's been in this business for a long time and has a solid reputation with pretty much all the big players. Someone like him doesn't get put on a black list because someone like you had a problem with him "a few years back". Who are you anyway? IMHO, you haven't earned the right to have someone of Damian's caliber put on a black list based only on your word. [And it is only your word - you don't get on a black list for putting DVDs in the garbage.] Reputation should count for something and you've only posted 12 messages here, and I've never seen you on GD (or GMS, back in the day).

Plus, you haven't provided any proof of any active problem. There are very real pirates in our industry who are actively stealing content. There are sponsors who don't pay any of their affiliates. Those are the kinds of companies that should be on blacklists. How much money do you allege PPV owes you? I mean if we're talking about $50 from YEARS ago... Who really cares?

I'm chatting with Damian on Skype - as I understand it, Damian is the only one who has signed contracts with producers in the past 6 years (since Ted left). So if you signed with Ted, that means this problem is at least 6 years old.

There are pirates who are stealing content TODAY. There are programs who aren't paying affiliates TODAY. A 6+ year old problem isn't worthy of discussion. Statutes of limitations exist for a reason.

I just checked allgaymovies.tv and searched my studio and found two videos listed there. They are still posted from years back and I haven't heard a word from them. Is that enough proof?

Earning the right to call out someone for not responding to me or taking down videos on request or asking for an accounting of sales is not appropriate?

Because you've never heard of me doesn't give me less rights than any other studio that posts messages on this site. Are you saying I have to post hundreds of messages before I'm considered a legitimate person?

Get a grip of yourself, because you are friends with this guy you are defending him no matter what he does. I don't care how much he owes me, some simple communication would have solved all this years ago. You defend him because he's a big player. I'm a small studio and have just as much right to be treated fairly as anyone else.

And if we are being totally truthful here this is not the first time Damien and PPV Networks has been called into question. There are posts on here and on GD from a couple of years back with a number of studios saying they haven't gotten paid and have not had any communication from them.

If you like I can post a link to those discussions as well to prove my issue and make myself legitimate in your eyes.

At least 3 studios have complained here since 2007 that PPV has solicited their DVDs for streaming, and PPV has failed to honor contracts.
