HSBC has banks around the world.

Go on-line and see if you can open a www.HSBC.com account. That is the US side of their operation.

https://quickaccount.us.hsbc.com/jsp...99992052&code= There's Savings and "Checking" although I have never ordered paper checks from them, and I only use their bank cards.

The HSBC Advance account is amazing, because (for a monthly fee) it allows you to transfer amounts to and from HSBC accounts in other countries. Otherwise, you can just use the ATM card that comes with a savings account, or debit card that comes with the checking account (sometimes referred to as "On Line Payment Account").

See if it will let you open an account, being a non-US citizen.

If yes, the HSBC App will allow you to deposit checks via your smart phone/tablet.

If www.HSBC.com won't, only because you must submit notarized documents, or make a personal appearance at a branch, you might need to first open a HSBC UK account in branch, then work with them, HSBC.com or HSBC International, to open your HSBC.com US account.
