Since we're talking studio biz, the 900 pound Gorilla in the room is live Cam sites.

For all of the money we studios invest in HD camera(s), PC or Mac computers, editing software, DVD authoring, postage and shipping or uploading of files to VOD hosts... recruiting and hiring models, scouting and hiring locations and possible support staff to shoot scenes... There are Cam sites.

Some Cam sites are owned by Cam studios, and models are like prostitutes. Most are European or South American, where the models don't know enough international languages like English, to speak with viewers, let alone type readable phrases.

Other Cam sites are there for anyone to broadcast with their $40USD webcam, from their own bedroom, living room, hotel room. Last night, I watched two str8 guys, in various stages of nudity, earn about $2000, for doing 10% of scenes that studio DVDs expect.

Guys tipped 250 tokens, that cost them $25, to get the Cam model to do 5 naked pushups!! 1000 tokens, that cost viewers $100, to "flash" their dicks.

While some loud mouths in the biz have promoted "bareback" - and only "bareback" - videos for years now, the real competition is a pair of str8 guys who drop their undies and compare dick size.

I, too, have earned more being on Cam, than some of my VOD videos have earned. The key here for studios is to use Cam sites to promote their name and brand, even have their models on the studio's Cam, and following the majority of viewers, not just the 2-3 who want to see something in someone's hole.
