Yeah ... my Dell died after one of Microsoft's infamous updates. On boot my system kept trying to go into some auto repair mode loop and I couldn't get to safe mode. The repair company wanted over $400 to basically wipe the system and reinstall Windows. I'm like ... I can do that for myself, not to mention I can get a pretty decent newer laptop for the same $$$.

So I brought home my sick unit, ordered an HP refurb and have been re-installing my programs, etc etc
