Hey guys thanks for the comments!

Yes, you all are correct - all the underwear selling on the site is off of eBay. This site's revenue model uses eBay's affiliate program.

There are other affiliate programs out there for selling underwear - International Male, Undergear and Amazon.com sells apparel. For this project, I'm using eBay's affiliate program. (to answer your question Fister) So to all you people out there still wanting to sell underwear, just consider that fresh territory left uncharted!

eBay's affiliate program is interesting -- I really like using eBay's API so that I can easily create pages of underwear products that are constantly updated as new auctions appear. It's neat. I have several targeted sites that sell eBay stuff - I've been learning all the positives and negatives. And I've wanted for some time to sell a product that would be in demand around the world, and more of a commodity - underwear fits the bill.

Another nice thing is that I can use the international eBays to globalize my site. Also notice, I have not made the site gay specific, nor is it "adult."

Unreleated ads can do well. It depends on the programs you are advertising. Note too that some ads obviously do not apply to different areas of Underwear Galore. For example, the cigarettes and the Vitacost protein shake links do not appear on non-USA pages.

Obviously they aren't shipping cigs or food product out of the US. So on the UK pages I'm running Amazon.uk iframes, UK casinos etc. That is one thing to alter over time - watch how your ads do, and modify them accordingly.

I received an email last week from Australia's UncutGayDVDs - they are now selling adult toys and accessories. Maybe I'll see what they have and perhaps build some links to their adult accessories on the Australia underwear pages.

The affiliate program group that I am least familiar with are the casinos. I have always wanted to figure out ways to utilize them. It's definately a whole seperate ball of wax to learn about, like when I started doing the adult programs.

    Steve

Quick Note - Bec: eBay's affiliate program is with Commission Junction.
