Lee,
Don't get too excited just yet. Earlier this week, I met with a new client. They have a website that offers pay-per-view "mainstream" movies that you download to view on your computer, and it is possible to send a signal to watch on your TV, but that option is currently very cumbersome. They are owned by a major "mainstream" studio and a major windows software developer. They are a publicly-traded company and are very conscience of investor relations & public perception. They offer adult movies, but not directly on their site, they have a very, very small link to their adult movie site. They know that the adult movies are the most profitable genre they offer, but will not offer it on their regular site. They are concerned about the negative backlash from investors and the public. The investors know it's their, but don't want to be associated with it.
So, don't think there has been complete acceptance yet. Or anytime soon. It seems that, although they buy and watch them, the same people do everything they can to distance themselves from adult movies. Hypocrites? Nah, just good Christians.
